This is not Global. Motorola Droid 2 - A955 is not Global and doesn't have GSM 4 bands. You can not use it anywhere except with Verizon network . Motorola Droid 2 Global - A956 looks exactly the same but has 4 bands GSM - means you can use it on any network all around the World ( requires unlocking SIM), has better processor and is really Global.

This is NOT a global phone. This is a DROID 2 -- NOT Droid 2 global. Amazon needs to correct the description of the phone. The vendor is very responsive, shipping was fast, and the phone is in good condition. However, you will NOT be able to uses this phone outside the US.

Although this phone is listed under the unlocked phones category on Amazon.com, the phone is actually locked to Verizon. To use the phone, you need to do two things:(a) to initialise the phone(b) to unlock the phoneThe first step can be done easily. With that, Android is working and you can view the IMEI number. However, the second step requires you to purchase a password from companies which do the unlocking services for you. You need to provide the IMEI number to them. Choose a reliable company, as from websites, people received nonfunctional passwords. Overall, this takes time and effort, and extra money.Amazon offers a refund if you send back the phone.I would suggest that Amazon can move this listing under the locked phone category in order not to mislead customers. The phone is good but it is locked from overseas GSM SIM card usage.If you are an overseas customer, think about this twice before you purchase it.
